Shunchi Zhang 张顺驰

I am a Master's student in Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University, advised by Prof. Tianmin Shu and Alan Yuille.

I'm interested in developing planning algorithms with theory-of-mind reasoning^{[24-tom-in-amc,25-chartom-qa]} and physical world understanding^{[24-drformer,25-physico]}.

Previously, I interned at AI @ mentored by Mo Yu and Lemao Liu, and Research Asia mentored by Zhuoyao Zhong and Lei Sun.

Call me Spike, if you are not sure about my Chinese name pronunciation: 顺 shùn 驰 chí.
In my free time, I play rock guitar, watch movies and TV series, and play video games — check out some of my videos here!
The profile picture is me cosplaying as one of my favorite musicians, Buckethead, and Ghibli-stylized by GPT-4o. I highly recommend going to his live shows if you get the chance (I have been twice). Out of his 800+ albums, my favorites are the siblings albums Electric Tears and Electric Sea.
